5:48 Tip 2: Sell Your Potential
6:30 Tip 3: Show Your Willingness to Learn

I first tried to get some sales experience back when I was still in college.

Here’s how the job interview processed typically happened:

1. I would apply to sales internships, just like how every other person would.

2. Then I would show up (Not really prepared. But to be fair, I didn’t know how to prepare for these types of interviews at the time

3. The interviewer would ask some questions, and I would respond

4. Later that week, I would get an email saying something like, “Thanks for your time, but we decided that we won’t be a good fit to work together.”

Now being young and inexperienced, I didn’t understand why I was always being rejected for these sales jobs.

I felt like I did okay during the interviews.. but for some reason, I wasn’t getting the job.

But over the years of interviewing at different companies, getting more sales experience, and running my own business now.

I finally realize what was holding me back.

So in this video, I’m going to share my secrets to Selling Yourself In A Job Interview so you can land your DREAM JOB!

  14. @angelicaaah1264

this is all 100% true. I got into sales bc i saw potential in it as a career (every business needs someone to sell their products/services), had MAD social awkwardness & anxiety but the attitude of being open to learning is what get me hired in some shitty and great companies that taught me a lot and gave great experience. Hope this helps someone out there that needs the extra umph to get into sales (Defs build another skill on top to be more desirable-eg. Coding or UX Design to be a BDM in design/creative companies or SaaS companies.)

Hey I just wanted to express to everyone these videos really works , I’ve watched literally all of your videos bro because I had a interview with my dream job today and I actually got it thank to your videos thank you so much 🙏🏾

  32. Аноним

Great video as always, Patrick! Another key tip I'd add is, at the end of the interview when the recruiter gives the candidate the floor to ask questions – make sure close out by asking if there's anything else they unsure about in terms of your qualification/skills that might prevent you from moving forward. In case, there as critical item you failed to touch on or a key skill you forgot to demonstrate, the recruiter might guide you towards it and you'll have a chance to change their mind! This is critical step for interviews for any position but especially important for sales people as it demonstrates your ability to identify possible objections and handle them (while also giving you more "screen-time" to impress the interviewer). 🙂

  33. @alizajoyce6050

thank u for keeping my hopes up

  34. @halley2403

wow i stayed watching the entire video lol nice, it actually gave me some confidence

  35. @MysticBoltz

    great video

  36. @kasforai

Im emotionally unstable but Self motivated as fuck

  37. @ShivaShaktification

Sounds cool , its good to get better at selling yourself, but if they were better interviewers they would have been digging to sense this potential in you instead of rejecting you. My point is you were the same person with the same growth potential, all along (before and after), you just learned to broadcast what the interviewers (who should have been doing their job better) were looking for…

  38. @jorgek92

2:56 I have been very successful while having Tinder dates in the last couple of years. But this is not something I could mention in an interview 😀 I have one in 3 hours for an outbound SDR position. I am taking notes from your videos. I hope I come back here later with good news 🙂

  39. @foreverfree5249

you need to become a speaker, a life coach …some shit like that ! you really know how to talk to people. !!!! thank you!!

  40. @chocomilo4420

This is good advise for only entry level sales personnel.

  41. @jaredava495

i have an interview coming up for an SDR position…a little context- I am a social worker that never considered Sales in the Tech Industry…after watching your video…I feel a lot more confident going into this interview….Thanks Patrick! (……and SUBSCRIBED! lol….)

  42. @supjordy2537

Great video I have a job interview for sales Tuesday and this has helped out tons to prepare!

  43. @YTStyla

I am interviewing for a „Sales Executive“ position at Salesforce on Wednesday. I am not coming from sales (I am a PO at my company) so I am really nervous. I think my personality and strength would work pretty well for me in Sales though. I just wonder what to say when the „but you don’t have Sales experience“ thing comes up.

Don't stress. These companies are looking for entrepreneurs who are willing to be slaves for a portion of our day. You are the genius. They need you.

  45. @Exolblink616

I've a interview tomorrow I wasn't nervous honestly but seeing this vdo I feel I've to prepare so much moreeeeee

  46. @kimbersolomo
